Slow Down!

No not you ... ME!

I have to get serious about Relic's fursuit and as a result I am sure the Blog will take a serious hit.  There is a lot of work I must get finished before I can even think about getting the fur cut. I need to alter the Pattern and make sure that I DO NOT mess it up in the process. It will take concentration and my full attention, so if I lag behind keeping posts going, you have been warned. As soon as I get the alteration finished to my liking I will post up what I have before cutting into the fur.  Be Furry my friends~

The Axe Is Finished

Relic's axe is now finished Painted and finished with 8 layers of clear-coat I feel it is totally convincing enough.

GOT THE AXE!

Home from Tupper Lake.

Now for some painting. Bright Red, Silver, and lots of clear-coat!
It's made from spruce so it is very light, and I still have to figure out a way to fasten it to Relic's side when he is not actually carrying it in his paws, not sure a hammer holster will work.

Relic's GOT THE FUR!

Got a great deal!

Been super busy the last few weeks with the trip to Chicago and all, then sub driving in Franklin County. I finally found a good match for Relic to continue on with the making of his full fursuit! Joann-Fabrics had a 30% sale on all plush furs, along with a text coupon I had for 20% off my purchase the price was right at only $138.00.

I bought 4 yards of the Grey/Brown and 2 yards of the White. Although the Grey/Brown is not an exact match with the original material I had it picks up on all the colors involved, so, it will work just fine. I have some tricks that will help meld it all together as well.

There is going to be a whole lot of sewing to do once I get my pattern customized, I'm not really looking forward to that part
but ... it will be awesome when its finished and I put it on
for the first time!
This will put Relic one step closer to Anthrocon next year!
